Well the best thing to do would be to let the cat explore your house for a few days. I then you should try to softly stroke it and don't let it run away.
If the cats moan or do anything that you think meens they aren't happy, then give them some food and water or milk, and some treats.
Once the kittens know where most things are in the house, spend time with them and get them to like you. You should also invite people over to play with them because they also need to learn to like other people.

I agree it is not a responsible pet owner to let an animal breed without knowing they can find home for the babies. The kittens are probably "skittish" because they were NOT handled much since they were born. Animals particularly cats need to be handled daily after they are born so that they are not wild
Every time you feed the kittens, start to pet them..... They won't run away because they want to eat and they will learn that touch is not a bad thing.... It takes time and patience.

all kittens are usually skittish. try buying those cat toys on the string so that you can play with them and gradually bring them closer to you. treats in the hand to make them come. if the refuse to eat out of your hand try putting the treat close to you and every time you give them another one bring it closer and closer to you. be very slow and deliberate about your movements when around them. once they allow you close enough without trying to scratch and bite pet them as much as they will allow, talk softly and do it at their pace not yours it may take a while but eventually they will come around. one day they may even let you hold them, ha ha. if all else fails kitty crack the old favorite cat nip. it should make them nice and docile at least for a little while after they've run of their fun.

Trust is earned with humans as well as animals. It may take some time, but they will learn that you won't hurt them. Or maybe not. I had a kitten once that I did nothing but love on and spoil and it was a demon cat from hell! Those people breeding the kittens should be shot (in the foot).

I would have felt bad leaving the other kitten behind, and separating her from her sisters.
Anyway, the only thing that you can really do with kittens is to give them tender loving care and hope that they will grow out of it. Hopefully someone else took the sister that remained and the child isn't still dragging her around and petrifying her half to death.....it is your duty as a human being to report animal abuse...
take care

it particularly is a tricky concern! luckily there are particularly some astounding, breed particular rescues available for undesirable dogs. regrettably, i think of quite some human beings now know this, and that they are no-kill, and merely anticipate that any puppies or previous breeding inventory they are able to't sell, would be rescued extremely than euthenized. i do no longer know whether to handle this like a domestic dog mill- via no longer helping them whether it potential some dogs die, as a manner to objective and get rid of the marketplace for poorly bred dogs, or to handle it like all different undesirable undesirable dogs and discover her a house. i could say in case you have the room and can hit upon a foster, do it. interior the top, despite we predict of touching directly to the human beings in contact, the dogs is blind to the politics and hasn't performed something to deserve what's happening to her. I coordinate foster residences for a team who rescues policies and we take from breeders close down via the USDA or the police each and every of the time. i could manage this lady comparable to any breeder renounce and attempt to discover the dogs a house. I do see the problem nevertheless, and this is truthfully a tricky concern.

Thank you for taking them.
You are basically going to have to re-tame them. Consider them feral. You need to earn their trust. Go very slowly. And you'll need to confine them to one room at this point so you can keep an eye on them, if they are eating, and litter box usage.
Make sure they know that food comes from you. Hand feed when ever you can. pat gently if you are able. Talk softly to them. Play with fishing pole type toys to engage them in play with you with out having to be too close. Sit in the room they are in and don't expect anything from them. read a book, watch tv, etc.
Impose yourself on them, but do not force. Hold till they struggle to get down. Then put them down on the ground, do not let them escape. Pat when they are eating.
Good luck.. Hopefully they will regain their trust quickly. It might take a while though.

Before you get into picking up and loving on your kittens you need to take them to the vet to get them checked for rabies. So far almost 20000 cats have passed out over catnip too. So be very careful about your new kittens becuase they could even DIE if you forget to get them checked out at the vet.

Just treat them gently. Feed them, pet them if they allow you. Try to play with them. Be VERY patient. I rescued a completely feral kitten off of the highway, and she is the BEST cat in the world now... They'll come around! Best of luck!

I once had a litter of wild kittens around my house. I would catch them, one by one and wrap them in a towel and rub their heads until they went to sleep. This seemed to work for me and they would gradually let me pet them and then would actually come up to me, but if a kitten is never touched by humans until around 10 weeks, it may be too late.
Good luck!! I have 2 pound kitties that I love!!
