My aunty is in her 70's and regrets never having children, her husband passed away last year so now she is truly alone.
I also have another friend who is 41 and just had her first child, I was shocked when she said she was pregnant as she was steadfast about never having them, her and her hubby have been together for 20 years!

Well,I love being a mom but my first thought is you have a life where its pretty much all about you and you can come and go as you please and actually buy for just yourself. You can get to sleep as long as you like and not always worry about the feeding, cleaning and laundry of others. You wont have to have the constant worry about the things that could happen to your child in this world. But just having my child is so worth all of this. When you really want to be a mom, this is what you automatically do because you are ready to give up being all about you and you are ready to raise a family!:)Good luck

u have a lot of free time, dont worry about them, and dont get crazy because of them and their needs, people should not have kids before they can make sure they'll be able to give the kids everything they wants, and also save money, and when u get invited to some party or any other place u wont worry about a baby sitter and this kinda stuff.

Darn - you eliminated the first thing that came to my mind!
*Freedom to go straight to and from work - that's a real luxury and #1 on my list!
* Being able to be sick and rest without having to worry about what the kids are up to in the rest of the house or having to tend to them.
* Being able to be sick and just rolling over in bed and going back to sleep after calling in sick to work - nobody to get off to school still or anything else to take care of.
* More freedom to travel and do things in the evenings - no school schedules to work around or kids to pick up after work and take home to feed dinner.
* All the sleep you want - no one getting sick in the middle of the night and needing clean sheets, etc. No one up at 5:00 on Saturday or some other crack 'o dawn hour.
* No having to plan and hold birthday parties.
* No buying teacher gifts for someone you really don't even know and have no clue what to buy.
* No missing work for dr. appts. that are for someone else (and losing pay because of it).
* No sacrificing anything for someone else.
* No attending concerts, games, etc. that are not your cup of tea.
In one word - freedom.
Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my kids and couldn't live without 'em. But I do remember the days before them too.

1) you don't need to take care of someone else when they are sick, cranky, or hungry
2) you have all the free time in the world if you want it
3) you won't have to worry about finding a babysitter at the last minute
4) you won't have to hear someone crying in all hours of the night
5) you will be able to go out with your friends, family or even yourself if you want to
6) you can pamper yourself first, without having to worry about buying diapers or clothes for the kid first
7) you can travel in peace
8) you can still have a sports car type not a minivan
shall i continue??

You have no interrupted sleep, you can come and go as you please, no dirty nappies,no cleaning up spew, no listening to whinging and crying, the list is endless, but in the end it's all worth it. There are also a lot of advantages to having children too, its not all that bad.

Sleeping in on the weekends, going anywhere, anytime at the drop of a hat, no worrying about who you could give these sniffles to, responsibility only to yourself, among other things.
Lots of freedom. Problem is, you sometimes find yourself having to justify your personal choice to complete strangers.

More sleep, no parent-teacher interviews, less worry, more time for yourself, no dirty diapers, no school projects, more quiet time, no stretch marks, no cleaning up barf off the bedroom carpet at 3 o'clock in the morning, no having to plan healthy meals every day, your mother won't be mad you made her a grandmother, no putting up with all their bratty litlle friends, no birthday party planning, you can party all night and sleep in until noon. But it's all worth it anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!
