today she started moaning so we got her all settled in... she birthed one kitten and I knew it was too small. She wouldnt touch it so I started to rip the sac. The kitten wasnt fully developed.. no hair and about the size of a stocky mans middle finger..it was dead...momma cat ate the placenta but I took the kitten away before she could eat it...cleaned herself up and went about her way... 6 hours later she is perfectly fine .. no bleeding.. no moaning.. I can still feel kittens moving inside.. what do you make of this???

Depends on when she was bred. The typical gestation of a cat is about 63 days (9 weeks). If you know the breeding dates you should know if this was a pre-term miscarriage or not. If it was, she may be able to carry the rest of the kittens to full term, but more likely she will go ahead and abort the rest of the kittens. If she is full term, the general rule is that if she is having strong labor contractions for more than 30 minutes without producing a kitten you should get her to a vet. It is not uncommon for cats to go several hours between kittens but usually once the first couple come, the rest will be pretty fast (15-30 minutes between kittens).

Your cat needs to have a C-Section NOW! She can die. There can be a kitten stuck in her birth canal which will kill all the kittens and the mother. There should be no longer than an hour - an hour and a half between birthing kittens. Get her help now. Good luck!

while I totally agree a vet visit is in order - especially since you aren't sure what is going on - it is possible for a cat to abort just one kitten. Or to give birth in stages..

If she is eating, drinking and not acting as if she is in pain - and you said you can feel the kittens moving, you can probably wait till tomorrow.. but honestly, I'd recommend a vet look her over to be on the safe side.
