The curative properties of honey are compared to pleasant sayings and wisdom, not only because of its sweetness and fine taste but also because of its health-giving qualities. Pleasant sayings are healthful spiritually, just as honey is good for the physical body. The writer of Proverbs says: “Pleasant sayings are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and a healing to the bones.” (Pr 16:24)

The psalmist was saying that God's Word (as a form of spiritual nourishment) was sweeter/more fulfiling than (what I guess what their equivalent of) any sweet food they had at the time.

When the Word says man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God...its likening it to food that fills our spiritual stomach.

You are a really cool person. I admire you. I hope God does some great things in your life. Now let those words sink in and the question will be answered.

Honey only satisfies the mouth and stomach temporarily. Sweet words can defer wrath and change a life permanently. {{{Jonathon}}}

I really admire people who can speak the truth without offending someone. It's not easy, and sadly I tend to go for the throat...

Because a honeycomb will only feed your stomach, but pleasant words will feed your soul. :)
