Nope. Maybe the cheek but definately no make out session.
Ive always been old fashioned but I was raised that the biggest gift or best asset you have is yourself. A person can only give so much of theirselves. First its the kiss, then the heart, then the virginity (or sexual intimacy if they arent virgins). Once you give it, you cant get it back. So guard it and make the person earn it. If they are worthy of it, let them work for it.
Besides, everything is better if it comes slowly and gives time for the anticipation to build.
Think of it this way. You make incredible hamburgers. Just incredible. And only you can make them. But you only have so many that you can make. Do you give it to the first guy that says "hey, those smell great! I sure would want one" or would you save it for someone that maybe has earned it like someone youve known for a while or at least more than once?
And as for people thinking you are prudish or boring, if they think that way then they werent worth a delicious hamburger anyway. People that may possibly deserve or prove to be worthy of your delicious hamburger would work for it and wait for when you are ready to give them one.

Well from my past experinces i have been to shy to. But i think the best thing on your first date is to give a hug. It depends on the girl. When your hugging look at her and see if she want to. You should be able to know by looking at her.
If you think she wants to, then go for it. If not then next time but tell her as a joke that next time ur going to give her the longest kiss ever. It will make her laugh and try embaressing her :p
