I am trying to make a powerpoint presentation and I can't find how to. There is now icon that says "powerpoint presentation", there is only one that says powerpoint viewer. That only lets you view the ones you've already made...I even searched her computer software....AND NOTHING!!!! Please Help Me!!!

Did she get a laptop that included Microsoft Office 2007? It sounds like she has a base model laptop with Microsoft Vista but without the office application. Microsoft Office is not part of the operating system but may or may not be bundled by the PC vendor.

It probably does not have Office Installed, you will need to buy Office, Looks like 140 for the Home Version at Best Buy.
Otherwise you can try using a free version, Open Office. Link is in the source area.
It is similar, just not made by Microsoft, and I do think it is compatible with Office if someone had that and wanted to use her PowerPoint.

Just type "Powerpoint" in the new search bar feature on the start menu.
