And gay sympathizers?
Just ask any religious question and they come flocking in like vultures on a road kill.
Are ya'll feeling a bit insecure about who you are? Feel as if you always have to justify yourselves to people of faith? Especially those who adhere to true scripture?

I personally like hanging out with Atheists & gays. They at least tell the truth and are real fun at parties too.

Religion and spirituality covers more than one religion and more than one scripture.

If sincerely striving to cast no stone and leave the judging to God makes me a 'sympathizer' so be it. The measure you judge will be used to judge you. I find no justification in scripture for me to ridicule others. Jesus said if any says to his fellow man 'Raca' - a term of contempt - he was guilty as of murder for the hate in his heart. He told us to love our neighbors as ourselves.....a commandment second only to love God with all your being. Those two are the sum of the Law.

I am not an atheist and I am not gay.

I am here to enjoy time with friends and have discussions on religion and spirituality.

I will speak out against stupidity and bigotry when ever I see it.

I love to point out the Christian hypocrisy when I see it so others can see the true nature of Christianity. Hate should always be exposed.

If one teenager saw that post from that bigot and my words made them take a long look at Christianity than I have accomplished a lot.

I'm sure you adhere to the true scripture not like those others that adhere to the un-true scripture.

Robert,
Make sure you direct your question to Christians in the title.
That seems to help me.

As you can see from the answers to your question, there is a lot of love here.

The respect and intelligence shown is just so..... so touching..

Just makes you feel kinda warm all over doesn't it!

Basically, that "love your neighbor as yourself" gets the Christians to defend gays, the whole "treat others with respect" thing get the secular humanists going, and basic human decency fires up the rest. What's your excuse?

Mature atheists do not hang out in this section, they hang out in sections they actually have an interest in, what we have here are bashers and trolls. They're usually under 15 years old, just kids playing. Ignore them, they're not worth bothering with. I do feel sorry for kids that are so bored this is the nonsense they do to get some attention, but annoyance usually wins out over feeling sorry for them.

I'm usually fairly passive when it comes to christianity, if you stay out of my affairs I'll stay out of yours. But when you use your religion to spread hate I take it upon myself to get involved.

You are proof that the bible is not only wrong.........it's dangerous.

"Especially those who adhere to true scripture?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! You mean the true scripture that talks of talking snakes and talking burning bushes? Let's not forget the giant boat that was big enough to carry two of every animal. Get outta here with that nonsense you arrogant twit.

I see you're still living in the 14th century. Well, when you grow up you can come and join the rest of civilisation in the 21st century! You'd love it here, we use the Bible for peace and love. We don't pervet God's name by using it to justify bigotry and hatred. We love our neighbor and treat them with respect. We're also no arrogant or ignorant enough to assume that God is incapable of judging that we need to do it for him.
