i was one day late and took pregnancy test and it came positive and then at 5weeks i starded my period

Was it a heavy period?
While it possible, if you had a heavy period then chances are you had an early miscarriage.

No, you can't have your period during pregnancy however you can have Decidual bleeding, which is the most common cause, however there are many other reasons for bleeding during pregnancy, some with little risk/complication, others that can have very serious complications. No, but many women bleed during the first trimester and mistake it for a period. Anytime you bleed during a pregnancy is should be reported to your OB as it could indicate a problem.
*Just FYI, a period is the disposal of the unused egg and uterus linign. If the egg and uterus lining was disposed of when you were pregannt, then it's a miscarriage. Any other bleeding, is just called bleeding.

Yes it is possible to be pregnant and still have your period. Sometimes tho when you're stressed about somehing (like beng pregnant) it can cause your period to be a bit late. I would suggest taking another pregnancy test. If it is also positive make an appointment with an OB.

yeh u can happens to 3 in 100 women apparently,this could have been implantation bleeding.
my friend was preggers and didnt no she hadda coupla periods,was in school complaining of severe tummy pains brought to a and e and half an hr later had a baby boy!!shock and a half she was only16 try testing again soon mayb 2 wks 2 put ur mind at rest.goodluck p.s am answering on my hubbys acc!

Yes, it's possible depending on how heavy though. But you should be seeing a doctor if it came out positive. How old are you?

You need to go to the dr's asap. There is no such thing as a false positive. The bleeding could be a miscarriage.

Oddly enough, I have heard that it is possible. Go to the doctor and they can find out by doing a blood test, and then you'll know for sure, good luck.

My doctor told me that 30 days after you get prego its not uncommon to bleed but I dont think a full on period is right. Talk to your OB right away!!! Good Luck!!

no. when you get pregant you cycle stops for 9 months. when there is bleeding you need to see a doctor. but your test could have had somthing wrong with it so i suggest either seeing a doctor to see if you are or were pregnate or take another test.
