Please descibe whether you are non-practicing, reformed, orthodox, etc. Books I have read descibe the extreme anti-semitism in the Koran, and I would like to know your opinion.

The reason I ask this question is because in the Koran does state that God turned Jews into apes and pigs, in addition to Muhammad claiming them the largest enemies of Islam.

"So when they [ the Jews] exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to them: "Be you monkeys, despised and rejected." - SURAH 7:166

"Shall I inform you of something worse than that regarding the compense from Allah: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allah and His Wrath, and those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines" - SURAH 5:60

I didn't want to believe what I was reading, and thought hearing it from the horses mouth (a Muslim perspective)would give me reason to disregard it. I do appreciate everyone for their thoughts and words. Open dialogue is all I wanted.

LOL, I can only wonder what books you have read. Because I can assure you that the Koran places no racism or bias against anyone. Just because you read a few books doesn't make you an expert, so I'm glad you are at least trying too see the real thing.

As a Muslim, I do NOT hate Jews. The Koran tells us that there is no compulsion in religion. You can't blame all Muslims for the actions of a few, and the same goes for people of all groups, including Jews. So when I say this, please know that I am not generalizing. I will try and tell you why many Muslims struggle with Jews.

Firstly, we Muslims see with our own eyes the lies and hateful propoganda being spread about our religion. After doing a little research, you will see that Zionists own the media and manipulate and control all the news you receive. Unfortunately, this news is bias and partial and defames Islam blindly. It has made so many people ignorant, and this publication of events concerning Islam have controlled people's minds and have "converted" them to their side, causing them to hate Muslims and make baseless assumption about the people and religion. This propoganda is part of the ultimate scheme of Zionism, with Christian and Jewish Zionists alike working together to summon their Messiah. In order to do so and cover up all the murder and crimes, they have to silence those Muslim countries in their way and take Islam down. First it was Afghanistan. Then it was Lebanon. Then it was Iraq. Now it is Iran. Palestine has been struggling for years. One by one, without the masses noticing, these Muslim countries are being taken over and occupied, and the killing of more Muslims seems justified by the western world because they are portrayed as barbaric and wild, when in reality they are simply throwing stones to defend their land.

Please watch this video. It is from the documentary "Peace, Propoganda, and the Promised Land" You will see exactly what I mean and I am sure you will enjoy watching it:

EDIT:

And did you read it in the correct context why they wre turned into apes and pigs? Or was that also given to you out-of-context? Those Jews and Christians betrayed God and were extremely sinful, and that is why they were turned into such animals, NOT ebcuas eof hate for the religions! Stop the ignorance now, please!

Omer says 'I don't dislike Jews' and then begins ranting and raving about how 'zionists control the media'! Oh, purleeeease.

I'm not sure what the true intent of this question actually is. If you already state that according to the Quran, Muslims hate Jews, why encourage that hatred to be expressed?

The truth is, some Muslims do hate Jews. They probably hate all non Muslims, though.

If you look at history, though, Jews that lived in Islamic countries were always 'dhimmi' or second class citizens. They never had the same rights and freedoms as their Muslim neighbours.

Eventually, every single Muslim country, bar Iran, expelled its' Jewish community, even though in countries such as Iraq and Egypt they were thriving and large.

And I'm sure some answers here will start banging on about how Muslims really do like Jews but just have a problem with Israel. This is easy to disprove. Israel wasn't established until 1948. As far back as 1920, Arab gangs were lynching Jews in Jerusalem. And in Hebron, also, there was yet another massacre, resulting in all the Jews fleeing the town.

And again, to pre-empt others, the term 'Palestinian' originally referred to all living in Palestine - muslims, jews, and christians. Not just Muslims.

Jews have lived there for 3000 years continuously. Israel represents 0.01 of the middle east. There are 22 Muslim states. You do the maths.

Jews and Arabs have quarreled for thousands of years; that's a traditional problem. I am Muslim but not Arab; so why should I have quarrels with the Jews?
Is Islam only for Arabs?
Are all Arabs Muslim?
The Jews is just another race of people made by God. I love and respect every people.

I'm pretty sure the anti-Semitism doesn't haveits source in the Koran. That was borne of willful ignorance and Iron Age civility.
