Then he is evil

Well if that is the case, then God is a trickster and deceptive. But I believe the Bible specifically says that God is NOT deceptive (but I do not specifically know the verse). The point is, to me, that God, being all powerful doesn't NEED faith, unless it is for his enjoyment. I don't believe God gave us this level of intelligence, only to expect us to ignore it in order to believe in Him. And quite frankly, that is EXACTLY what I feel faith is. It would be very cruel of him to do that.

Edit -- and for me not to pass YOUR test (note: I didn't say God's test) is not much of a concern for me. When you become God, come back and we will talk then.

Christians, what if God does not exist, but is the same fairy tale like Zeus, Thor, etc, that you don't believe in either?

If that's the best an all knowing God can do, I'm happier not believing.

Faith is the ability of someone to dismiss the real and fact with imaginary and fairy tale.

they want something that provides information. no one has ever given genuinely and genuine reality that God existed. i'm no longer Atheist, i'm agnostic. yet once you are able to instruct me something different than a bible that some previous farts wrote that has been revised maximum of situations that it is not even credible anymore. Then according to threat, only according to threat then i'm going to have self assurance.

What kind of a vindictive @sshole would assign a test where failure causes you to burn and then try to trick you into answering wrong?

God sounds more like an evil genius Bond villian in this scenario.

The point is so that we know he exists. If he loves us and doesn't want us in Hell, then why not give us more to go on? Is having faith more important than saving people from Hell?

They dont get it NOTW....

they think we believe with no evidence....

If they'd take the 1st step to believe, He'd show them. No one is saying believe for 30 years and get nothing. Christians wouldnt even do that. We step on faith first and God is right there. They dont understand that....

then hes being evil. because anybody with real common sense would know that you believe somebody when they prove to you that they're worthy of your trust. and he sends us to hell for not believing in him.

now on the other hand if he proved to us that he was real and we still didnt think he existed then that would be different. but otherwise what hes doing is like pointing a gun at somebodys head and telling them to either believe you without proof that you did something or that youll kill them. not very nice is it?

If we cannot control our belief (and if you think you can, then I challenge you to believe right now with all your heart that he doesn't exist...), then atheism is Gods fault. So you cannot be blamed for being what god made you. Your argument is self defeating, and through the argument of ascention through ignorance/innocence, all atheists go to heaven.
Kudos, the non-believers just won...

What if the test is.... what humans are less superstitious and more self reliant? What humans acknowledge they are as Nature would have them be?

Those humans are atheists, and they are a better and truer reflection of the Creator than whiny religious hypocrites.
