I had my hair done by a new girl a couple weeks ago. We both have children the same age so I was thinking about emailing her too see if she would be interested in meeting me at a park so our kids can play. We seemed to really get along and at the moment I am having a hard time making friends. Would you be freaked out if one of your clients emailed you for a play date?

Guess I came across the wrong way. I am a mom, not a dude looking for a date. lol

No, why not? Unless she tries to keep her professional life and personal life apart. Just understand that that could be the reason if she isn't interested.

I'd ask her about it. Tell her you're hard up for friends for you and the kids and if she'd be interested in meeting for a playdate you could email her.
Just throw it out there at one of your appointments and see how she reacts. Tell her you know it sounds weird, but friendships start in weirder circumstances.
It wouldnt freak me out at all, personally.

I would wait till your next appointment and then bring it up. Say something like.."You know our kids are the same age, we should get together so they can hang out sometime." This is non-threatening and it puts the ball in her court without you sounding like a freaky stalker.

Not if I felt like we could be friends. The worst she can say is no.

If she gave you her email address, she won't mind you using it. Don't act paranoid, just be honest with her...the worst she can say is no thanks.
Good Luck.
