my brother asked me why we didnt look alike and i told him it was because he was adopted

well if you meant it as a joke he needs to calm down. Just be extra nice since you were a little insensative to him.
My two boys are 15 months apart, definitely haev the same parents and look nothing alike. So there is no real way to explain genetics. We look like we do because that's how it was intended.

Sometimes after adopting a child the couple will find that there isn't a fertility prob. after all, So...

my older brother told me tht those circular air conditionar ducts on the ceiling will suck you up and leave nothing but bones. i was 7 wen he told me this lil story

Do not ever say he is adopted because it is hurtful hell think his real parents dont love him.And hell feel neglected.

If he really is adopted then it may have been better to tell him now even if it makes him upset or seemed unfair now. He'd of found out sooner or later.
If he is quite young atm then it might not have been such a good idea =|

Tell him that he's not adopted and that you two don't like alike because he's a boy and your not. But if he's adopted then don't tell him that.

Say that you're sorry you said that and that it isn't true, then tell him the reason you don't look alike is because the "fairy" never makes two people the exact same ever.

Say you were kidding, get his birth cetificate or baby pcitures or a video of his birth, explain why you two really don't look alike and take him out for some icecream :)

Depends on if he really is adopted or not. My brother is adopted and I am biological. Of course he is older so that made telling me easier.
