Yep,last year amongst other things I got a desk puzzle.solved it by accident before taking it out of it's box.didn't complain as I didn't need to,the person who gave it me was in hysterics as it was so naff.

My family celebrates Christmas.
We are all atheists and agnostics. We use Christmas as an excuse to get the family together, show we care by sharing present and have fun around a good meal. It's kind of a pagan celebration, except we don't worship any God. Sometimes we talked about the philosophical impact of Jesus as a 1st century philosopher and his theories on peace and forgiveness.

I do get Christmas presents. i would never complain if they are crappy you should be grateful that people like you enough to give them to you.

Yes... I still get presents from friends & family.
I don't complain about the "quality" of any gift. Although some of them have sat unopened on my bookshelf for years.

I celebrate winter, not Xmas. No, I always know what I'm getting in advance, even though I'd really prefer people not get me anything at all (I hate people spending their money on me.)..This year I'm getting the most awesome pair of Osiris', a new Electric guitar, a new airbrush pump....Wayyyyyy too much.

Yes. I had a job once where instead of a Christmas bonus, they threw us a party where we got new staplers. I'm not making this up.
Oh, and the staplers? Yeah. At least in the department I worked in, we ran a paperless office.

I told my family and friends to stop wasting their time with presents and cards years ago.
It is commercialism gone mad.
My attitude seems to be gaining some support.
How many presents do you get that you treasure and how many go in the garbage as soon as you can get away with it?
