Can anyone translate into Latin the following phrase: "Rest, if you must, but do not quit"?

I am thinking about getting "Rest, if you must, but do not quit" in Latin as a tattoo, so obviously I want to have a proper translation before putting it on my body. I've tried several free online translation sites, but I've had different results and some with the word "must" in them, which I'm guessing is not Latin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
