dream. I dreamt I discovered a large room under my house, and I could only get to it going down a ladder when I lifted a couple of floor boards. The room was large, and had French windows that allowed one to walk into the garden. The room was furnished and I saw mice droppings on the floor, which
annoyed me. Was this a spiritual message?

It could be a spiritual message. That you have a lot of untapped spiritual potential, that will take some work to get to. That in order to get to this potential, a little bit of mess must be be gotten pass{ the floor boards, the ladder, and then the mice droppings}, but if you can get pass this part, and go through the french doors, you will be able to open up, some beautiful potential spiritually.

Not all dreams have meanings. Only if it is recurrent, or really bothers you, could it be of signficance for you to try to understand it further. Dreams are just random memories flashed through our minds during sleep. They usually don't mean much if anything.
How many times have you had this dream? Did you write down the details only--without any interpretation or embellishment--as soon as you had this dream (and not the morning after)? This is important. I'll check back later to see if you add more details.

You have to undertand that your dream can connect from something in real life or something you like and or bothers you...
Maybe you will discover something around you... that is nice but will have some blenmishes that are fixable... or Your life is good but you need to fix somethings however don't clean the mice droppings get rid on the mices (meaning fix your life... from the roots of your problems

There is a part of your life that you didn't know existed or a hidden talent that you have but you need to search yourself to find it as it won't be obvious. It will fasinate you when you find it and absorb a lot of your time although there will be aspects of it that annoy you. The part about the french windows suggests that it will lead to others areas in your life should you choose to pursue it.

I'm not sure of the answer, but I'll be waiting for other answers because I had and almost identical dream about a secret room 2 weeks ago. And this room was better than any I could have consciously imagined. And it was amazingly light and airy. Thanks for asking this question x

Maybe this dream is saying that you have large expectations since the room was large, but that you will be let down eventually since there were mouse droppings which you weren't expecting.
