We'll find something else to burn. Don't worry though, it will not happen for a long time.

Running out is a little while off. We recently figured out how to get 50% more oil out of our old wells, so it helped a lot. We would be out now if it weren't for figuring out how.

Did you know, a lot of our oil goes into plastics and other things you just wouldn't have thought about. I'll be glad when we stop using oil anyway. 60% of the energy is lost in heat alone. Just about every other non-burning alternative is actually more efficient than burning fossil fuels.

I am all for any energy source that does not involve combustion. Take for instance the new Testla motors sports car. Gets equivalent millage to 200 miles per gallon on a single charge. The fact that it's also goes 0-60 in 4 seconds and is made of a composite mag-aluminum allow that looks as cool doesn't hurt my feelings one bit either.

We will discover, are discovering more and more oil deposits as well as new ways and means of replacing the oil. Human beings are very inventive, and don't forget: Necessity is the mother of invention. Do not panic! Enjoy life as it comes, but be responsible, that's all.

All the best!/

I'll keep living in my waste vegetable oil powered school bus that gets it's electricity from solar and it's heat from wood. All free, green, portable and available.

We won't run out, fuel will just get real expensive. When it does we will take busses, ride bikes, drive 60MPG diesel cars, use solar for hot water, hang clothes outside to dry, consume less, recycle, .....

This is an old and tiring question. This question has been asked for the last 40 years. And everyone who asks this question knows that they are right this time.

This question will still be asked 40 years from now, but then thing will be different. The people asking the question will know they are right this time.

It probably won't RUN OUT. It will more likely get to the point that other energy sources are cheaper, and we will switch to something else.

It won't run out. It will just get more and more expensive until it becomes more economical to use something else.
