When my daughter was about 4, she said that God's parents created him and named him God and when he grew up they gave him control of the family business-running everything and creating stuff. That is as good an explanation as any.

One thing I find fascinating about this subject is that science will never be able to explain who, why, what or how the universe was created -- whether it's always been here, whether it simply sprang into existence.
I'm a firm believer in science, and consider myself an Atheist. But neither religion, nor science can prove this question. I find that amazing.

No one created God. The question "who created God" can repeat forever (i.e. who created the one who created God?)
The answer is that God is the infinite and no one created him, but we cannot accept this, just like we cannot get it into our heads that there is nothing past infinity (i.e. infinity plus one.)
