are you still shaving daily and keeping a close crop?
I've been retired 2 years and FINALLY letting it grow a little (got a goatee going too)

Still above the ears and above the collar after 25 years of my shifting colors. I got rid of my crew cut in 1972, when I was reassigned back to Fleet Marines during the Zumwalt era and I wanted something to tick off the gyrenes.
Still shave every day. I tried a beard a few years ago and all it did was frighten little children and the livestock. LOL!

Nope, that was then and this is now. I am in a job (railroader, conductor on through freight) where I shave every few days (when it starts bugging me) and get my hair cut about every three months. But I do get it cut to where I can just have enough to put a part in it. Kind of like a semi-high and tight.
So relax. If you aren't in a job where appearance doesn't mean much, then enjoy the new found freedom. No more in rank inspections for you, my man. You are no longer at attention, parade rest or at ease,,,,,,you are in the "rest" mode now.

I usually shave every other day, get a haircut every 2 weeks, but I still spit-shine my shoes & boots.
I have been retired from the US Army for 28 years. Spent 21 years and 7 days in active duty!!

Retired in 2000, had a pony tail, then cut it off, and now growing it back. I too have a goatee.

Short Hair, shave for work only.
Can't stand for my hair to get long enough to pull

still high and tight after 7 years.
can't grow any beard because i have a big bald patch near my chin. i think it's an anthrax vaccine side affect to be honest with you.
