I know they had a lot of nukes trained on this country and I assume that important military installations like Cheyenne Mountain and such would be the first to go, along with our own missile silos.

I also assume that major cities were targets as well.

Does anyone know WHICH major cities? - aside from the obvious ones of New York and Los Angeles.

Is there any way to get a list (or an educated guess) of what their targets were?

There prime targets were the cities. Unlike the U.S., all wars fought in the history of the world have always targeted civilians. No civilians, no soldiers, no war.
They weren't too concerned about our missle sites, as they were sure that our missles would be on the way to Russian, so no use hitting the missle sites.
Our airbases were the number one military target; we had far more airbases, far more airplanes capable of longrange bombing attacks.
At that time, there was no defense against a missile attack (and Liberals are trying to prevent Reagan's "Star Wars" missile defense now) but our planes were capable, even then, to lift off from California (or any other State) and fly to Russian and bomb them...with nukes.
So, major cities (Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Phoenix, Denver, Philadelphia, Miami...just look at a U.S. map!) and airbases.
Our major deterrent at the time were our submarines: they were kept afloat 24/7 as the guppies put it nowadays, ready to "rock and roll". Because our subs were advanced to the Russians, the Ruskies could not be CERTAIN where our subs were and they knew if we were to launch a pre-emptive strike, it would be all over.
So, "detent": I won't attack you if you don't attack me.

major industrial cities like detroit and pittsburg were high on the list, so we wouldn't have the means to manufacture tanks and planes.
