Or more simple: if you help a homeless, the world will not notice, but for that homeless person it will the world.
Share you lunch with someone who forgot his, give the man that plays his guitar in the subway every morning some change, talk to him for a while, ... Every good deed you do gets noticed by someone ;) And that's a good start!

It is like voting. 1 person helps make a difference. You don't control the rest of the world but you influence it.

On the other hand, you probably have more control over YOUR world than you think.

Yes, I think so. The Mahatma Ghandi and Mother Theresa are people who have greatly impacted the world for the better.

There are several notable for impacting the entire world for the worse, too, but let's stay positive.
