Vegetable oils are polyunsaturated fatty acids. PUFA molecules are very delicate and sensitive to heat and light. When they break down, they turn into trans fats, and into other toxic chemicals as well. Body temperature is enough to break the fragile molecules, using vegetable oils as a cooking oil is far worse and breaks significantly more.

The good oils are coconut, palm, and olive. Also, pure animal sources are good, such as whole milk, butter, cheese and meat. Fish oil is ok, but you probably don't want to cook with it.
The so-called 'vegetable oils' are bad. The go rancid very easily, are the Omega-6 type, not the healthy Omega-3 like palm, coconut and olive.
Until the late 1940s, a primary ingredient in oil-based paints (tha's right-paints) was vegetable oil. But around 1950, the paint industry switched to cheaper petroleum-bases for their paint, severly hurting the vegetable-oil industry.
Then, some smart guy decided to market vegetable oil as a healthy alternative to the tree oils (a blatant lie). The tropical oil market dried up almost overnight, as the vegetable oils came on the scene.
Starting in the 1950s, the American heart attack rate began to soar. The cause: vegetable oils.

Vegetable oil isn't pure vegetables (it didn't take an idiot to figure that out. No offence or anything.)
For a start if it was pure vegetable then it would resemble liquidsed vegetable soup.
It dosen't. Because they add crap to it.
