Pascal's wager is stupid anyway because you can't force yourself to believe in something, just in case.

There is no scriptural basis (that I've ever found) that states that gambling is a sin. Like anything, if it's done to excess it would be sinful, but I've never seen it said in the Bible. I think it's impractical and unnecessary, but not sinful. If anyone has seen a scripture that names gambling as a sin, please let me know, I'd be glad to see it. I am unfamiliar with Pascal's wager, so I can't speak on it..

I know nothing of Pascal's wager. But gambling is not necessarily a sin. Some denominations have vowed not to gamble-so for them it would be a sin, not for anyone else.

Hon, Gambling is not a sin. The over indulgence is the sin. If gambling is the most important thing in your life, it is a sin.. you can`t have two God`s. God wants to be the first and the last in your life..

Pascal's Wager is called a wager, but it is not gambling, rather a logical (according to those who use it) elucidation of options and their consequences. In effect a consideration of consequences, and a balanced choice to achieve the best consequences. In mathematics it would be a form of game theory - sort of looking for the saddle point in a matrix.

Well relax gambling is not a sin per se, it is the addiction or the use of gambling to defraud others that is a sin.

It is not the act it is the addiction to it. What did the Disciples do when they needed to replace Judas? They cast lots to find out that Matthias would replace Judas.
