Something about their scorn for electricity. But, from what I understand, they like carpets - plush carpets too. And as soon as websites can be powered through static electricity, I'm guessing we'll see the odd Amish web designer step forward.

The Amish don't even have a brick and mortar building. They hold church services in each others homes.

Lol, funny. You know, I saw an Amish person in the city once using a payphone. Apparently they are allowed to use modern technology outside of their community. However, I couldn't help but think, "Who the heck is he calling?"

They are fine with the bulletin board at the back of the church for the communication needs between members.

Is this Amish day or something? I'd guess it's because they don't have computers.

Rumor has it that the community has a website building project on the weekly agenda, but that every time they try to nail two-by-fours onto the keyboard it explodes.

The Amish do everything that they can to leave the "materialistic world" on the outer edges of reality. This is what they believe in and it is a "good thing" for them. I wish YOU and them well. Peace, Love and God Bless.

The Amish don't use electricity or automobiles or any modern conveniences -- including computers.
