I used a ping pong ball when I was teaching my lads to use the loo. It worked fine then, though they seem to have grown out of aiming well !! At 14 and 18 I may have to try it again....

Yes, they make potty toys to help little boys learn how to aim HOWEVER who wants to clean them and fish them out when guests come over?

I agree... Cherios or Fruit Loops work wonderfully. Put a zippy bag next to the toilet. I found Fruit Loops worked better because of the color.

Good luck!

My potty trained 3 yr old never used anything. I am usually there with him anyway, I just remind him to pee in the water. He's an old pro at it now, and he's not been potty trained but maybe a year now! But I have always heard of parents using cereal because it would float, and they're easily kept in a small container on the back of the toilet! Best of luck!

There is a potty at Wal-Mart that is like a urinal to help them with potty training. After they get up some size they should be able to aim a little better. I think all little boys have a problem with this until they get a little older anyway.

I have a hard enough time keeping my son from playing in the toilet as it is. I have started using the fruit loops and he thinks it is hilarious.

I've also heard of people drawing targets one the bottom of the toilet. If its the real toilet you can use permanent marker and eventually it will wash off and if its the training potty you can use nail polish. Good Luck

You might try putting cheerios in the bowl and having him aim at those.
You are talking about potty trainging, right?
