They won the war and now they are winning the peace. What a shame to allow our Country to follow this path of destruction.

Don't blame communism. This is pure capitalism. Our men and women died in Vietnam fighting for a very questionable cause. That was the past. Today you will notice that Vietnam and China alike are letting go of a lot of their communist ways and are opening up unlike the Cold War.

American companies that wish to expand their profit margin by having things cheaply made overseas is what works best for them and for the consumer....you. I personally prefer things made in USA, but until our wage problem is resolved, China will still control the market.

By the way, no one's forcing you to buy anything. It's your choice. This is America.

Is it a question or RANT!

What the US imports today has no connection to a war that was fought and lost* over 30 years ago.

* lost due to political mismanagement and anti-war agitation back in the USA.

No company can force anybody to buy anything! Its a personal choice made by the consumer, consumers traditionally buy the cheapest goods available.

That war ended 35 years ago. When do we move on? Should we also boycott all products from England, Italy, Germany, Japan, Mexico and Russia, because they were once our enemies? China is rapidly moving away from communism, due in large part to their integration into world markets. If you don't like communism, arguing for the boycott of Chinese goods is the worst thing you can do.

Cheap labor plain and simple. If these companies don't recieve suitable financial incentive to encourage them to manufacture(like a tax break) in the US they won't. Thats our economic system for you(its still a damn site better tham Communism).

I bet this ought to upset you - guess who the US borrowed the money for the war in Iraq from?

CHINA

I think the best way to influence China IS trading with them. I would like to see this activity regulated better - we need better safety for our consumers.

I'd like to tell China MFG's to:
GET THE LEAD OUT

I think we should start boycotting china. Any country that will mass-produce toys that will poison my children should be boycotted.

Because American companies are always looking to make more money. And if that means selling their morals and ethics to ensure that cash flow, they will.
