Hey Guys,

I just had my 2 10" CVR Kickers installed b y an authorzied dealer today with a ZX400.1 Kicker Amplifer. I noticed as I got home that my right subwoofer hits harder than my left one. I just bought the subwoofers brand new from an ebay authorized dealer new and in the package.

I want to equally have the same bass on the left subwoofer matching my right, without burning up the amp or hurting the subwoofer.

Anyone have any ideas?

Just went back to the shop and they kinda looked down upon me buying my subs through an ebay authorized dealer through Kicker. He said to bring it by tomorrow morning.

ok well if one sub is hitting harder than the other it could be a couple of problems. The most comon problem is they may be out of phase and I can tell you how to fix it. Go to your box and on just one of the terminals on the box disconect the speaker wire and put the one that was on negative on positive and the one on positive on the negative terminal. Now remember on one speaker wire terminal. If you do both its still gona sound like ****. Now if that doesnt solve your problem switch them back. Ive been doing car proffesionaly for about 15 years now and another problem is that kickers amps are peices of ****. Kicker woofers are some of the best on the market which is why I have their L7 in my car, but their amps are peices of ****. So have a proffesional check your amps. Now another common problem is sometimes people will take a dual voice coil woofer and only hook up one coil, so take the woofers out of the box and check that they are hooked up correctly. Also check your RCA jacks and RCA cables because those things will also go bad on you. I hoped that helped you bro

Your best bet is to bring it back to the place you got it installed at. If you mess with it yourself they will sometimes not replace or fix the installation. If you just got it there they should be able to check the connections and the equipment quickly.

Good Luck!!
