she looks like a young pit to me- love her markings. I know the shelter here tries to stay away from labeling anything as a pit, as they have been banned for years in our county- my guess is that the animal services folks disagree with the ban themselves, and rather than euthanizing all the pits/pit mixes, they do temperament testing, and "guess wrong" about the breed of those that pass....my last trip up there, I saw an awful lot of suspiciously pitty looking "lab mixes" and unknown terrier mixes......

She is most definitely a Pit mix. By the way, she's GORGEOUS, and thank you for giving her a good home :) There are far too many pits in shelters and they all have a great disposition. People just judge them by the breed they are before giving them a chance to show their true colors.

I agree with the others that said she is either a purebred Pitbull or mixed with some Stafforshire Terrier.
She is a beauty and has a beautiful coat.

Oooh, she is so pretty!

She might be part boxer, but I agree with the others who said shelters try not to label dogs pure pit, so she could be pure bred.

Good for you for adopting!

She looks like a pit lab mix. Especially because of the eyes. My neighbors have pit lab mixes and they look exactly the same. Good on you for adopting form a shelter. You saved a life and I am grateful. PS. Do not leave the choke chain on her when you are not there. It can get caught and will choke and kill her. Just FYI. I would try a nylon collar.

She either is a purebred Pit or a Purebreed Pit mixed with a PB Staffordshire terrier (I had one for 13 yrs.,, looks identical when she was a young dog,... passed on 10 yrs. ago)

She looks like she could be a purebred APBT, but if she's mixed, the only other breed I see in her, is Boxer.
