Is it a sin to despise pumpkin pie?

and in turn, not make it for my family on Thanksgiving because the mere thought of it makes me gag?

Sadly, I hate ALL pies. I don't care for fruit. Bettie- I have heard that is good- is it custardy?

Nope. Not a sin. I say ditch the whole pie thingy and serve birthday cake with some random name on it that is not family or a friend like "Happy Birthday Roby". Serve. Act normal. Do not address the issue.

Yes. How can you not like a delicious slice of pumpkin pie? Still, I understand we all have different tastes and so forth. You could always have someone else make it for you. It's one of those foods that is almost mandatory for a holiday, like ham on Easter.

I love pumpkin pie, send me what you don't want. I hate cranberries but I serve them anyway because the rest of the family loves them. I want to please them so sometimes I do what I don't like.
