i have taken the postal exam and passed, had my first interview, and done all the necessary paperwork. whats next, am i hired? and what about the training for it?

i am supposed to be hired for a position! just need to know whats next. i heard orientation, and training. but i'm not sure.

they can't afford to drug test every applicant so you are definitely hired, assuming you pass.

Usually they just keep applications on file. They interview all the time, even when they don't have openings. You could call once to see if you are being considered for any positions right now, but really I think you will have to go ahead and find another job.

If you know you're hired, you'd better get over there and find out when you are supposed to show up. If they don't tell you when and where, you are not hired.

To whom it may concerns:i just read your story on yahoo answers about the post office first let me say congrats on passing your test and making it that far. See I have to take the exam 473 Dec 4 and I am nervous I was wondering what is the exam like and what did you do to prepare yourself and what was your score? What type of questions they ask you on the interview. Any tips and advice will be appreciate. Thankyou in advance. jameria7@yahoo.com

I would definitely give them a call to see what is going on. Sometimes if you call they know that you are really interested in working for them. To me it sounds like you have the job. They are probably getting the people ready for the training period. Good luck.
