ok so im in class and we're doing a thanksgiving project, and one of the questions we have to answer is why we think we were created so....what do you think? i think we were created b/c God was lonely........or something. perhaps he was bored...
but seriously help! haha why do you think i was created?

Perhaps we can think of God as an artist. Why does an artist create a work of art? An artist uses art as his form of expression. The person who creates something with passion does so becasue they have an overwhelming feeling within that they must express through their creation. God himself is described in the bible as a creative being. Just look into your microscopes and telescopes. :)

Love.
God is love. Love couldn't be contained. This overflowing of love manifested itself into creation. Sex is the centrality of how we all got here. In most cases, sex is a result of two ppl loving each other; or at least that was the way God designed it in the beginning.
So, with the "10 Commandments" & the "Great Commandments" we're first taught to love God above all. See, love is difficult; especially with our will to please ourselves. So, in learning to love God we can then learn to love all others (parents, siblings, spouces, and neighbor's).

We were created in God's image, because he wants us to be like Him. That is, he wants to mold us into His eternal image. Jesus Christ is the first born of the resurrection, which means that Jesus is the first of the many children God intends to resurrect.
