I would like to buy the Cokin P system for my sis as a gift. She just started with landscape photos. Should I ask B&H for specifics such as: adaptor ring, holder, ND filter and Grad ND filter? Is a star filter worth adding as well? When I looked up the list of filter kits a slew of filters came up and I wonder which ones are important for landscape and not so . I am confused and would like to get a kit she will really like. Thank you in advance for any help.

P.S. Although she uses Photoshop, I know she is practicing getting the pic as perfect as possible out of the camera and if using filters does it for her then it makes gift times easier for me. Thank you again

The most important filter in my bag is the circular polarizer. I have one to fit every lens.

Sister will be able to use a ND filter (there are several different "strengths) and a grad ND. If she shoots B&W, a yellow and a red filter might come in handy. A warming filter is nice, but pricey. For the CP, you will have to know what filter size her lens take, and one may not fit all.. The others will fit the adaptor in the Cokin system.

Nice gift, BTW. I wish my sister would get some for me!

I have a Cokin "A" kit and I love it. I also prefer to capture as much of the image in the camera and post process at a minimum. For landscapes a polarizer can be handy, especially if water is part of the scene. I also got both levels of the graduated blue filters for enhancing the skylines and I really like the results. I don't do as much landscape work, so I can't think of any others off hand, but those come to mind immediately.

i think of that's a considerate thought yet you're able to be arranged for them to not placed on the jewelry. I mean, that's been 31 years (if my maths isn't off) for the reason that they have worn rings. the two considered one of them are probably so used to not wearing rings that any rings that they wore now could be a nuisance or experience extraordinary to them. i don't know how issues artwork on your loved ones yet in mine with a recent like this we'd consult with the guy receiving the present and tell them our thought. sure you do lose the marvel element (even however what the jewelry nevertheless look like may be the marvel) yet a minimum of you're able to grasp in the event that they could opt for and placed on the jewelry. you're able to desire to host a small vow renewal on your father and mom as your Christmas present; it may provide them greater of a clarification for wearing the recent rings.
