Years ago, probably 1994, I had a vivid dream in which I was in Paradise and visiting a lovely but quite empty church. It appeared to be a Christian church. It was empty though. I felt the presence of God beside me, and asked him, "where is everyone."
Then God told me, in a normal male baritone voice...not booming or echoing like in the movies....but in a gentle voice...."fill this place."
I take that to mean, I must do some proselytizing, some spreading of the Gospel. What do you think?

Your dream sounds like God is calling you to a place in the ministry in Him. However, when God tells you to fill a place it could take years for that dream to come to pass. When I graduated from high shchool I saw a vision of myself behind a pulpit in a huge church preaching the gospel. That vision was 19 years ago and is still a ways off from fulfilling it, but I am closer now. Just understand when God told you to "fill this place". He spoke your destiny into existence already and His Word will not come back unto Him void. No matter how long it takes. Just keep following God.

I think that the empty church might represent you. You are in paradise and having a good time. But you need to fill you. Whether it be having a more religious view on life. Or bringing more people closer to you as friends. Since this happened in 1994 it might have pertained to the time back then and what was going on in your life.

It means make sure your visit to church is meaningful, and not just an "act" to appear righteous. There are some people who go because they feel they have to, to be a part of the community in which they live. There are others who go and hear the word but cannot interpret it into daily living outside the family circle.

The church itself may be full .. and yet unless it is filled with open and compassionate hearts, they may as well not be there . . thus the empty building.

If you are a Father, perhaps, if you don't preach at least not in a church, could be thousand differents things too, sometimes the dreams are simple to interpretate sometimes not.

Follow your heart, there's the real answer.

If that is indeed what it means surely you could have filled a church in 13 years. I don't think all dreams are ambiguous.

After 13 years, make a choice, follow your heart, not your mind.
