I have been reading a lot about NDE's and OBE's, both the religious/spiritual views as well as the scientific/materialistic view of what they mean and are caused by.

What I wish is for anyone who has had an OBE (or NDE) to share their story. And if they have a reliable way of safely inducing an OBE to share the technique (no drugs please) in as much detail as possible.

An OBE is an Out of Body Experience (OBE) and NDE is a Near Death Experience (NDE). By induce I mean consciously control the ability to through some means (medititation, yoga ect.) as some people claim to be able to do.

I just answered this question, and had my long answer wasted, by the question being removed. I will just say that I believe we all have variations, of out of body experiences in our sleep. That I believe, that our spirit often leaves our body in our sleep, enters the spiritual realm, and returns to the body when we wake. I have had both experiences NDE and OBE, but I was alone, so it would be hard to prove. Science will alway talk about physical changes in the brain, at the time of one of these events, but this does not preclude, a real and intense altered spiritual state also happening. I meditate, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy, and don't overindulge. I push my limits hard with mind-body exercises. I have never been able to control, when a spiritual experience would happen, and it is not important to me to do so. My focus is heavily in to altering the material realm, we live in for the better.

I used to have them when I was a child, 9 or 10 years old. Scared me so much, levitating to the ceiling paralyzed trying to scream for my mother with no voice coming out.
Now at 32 I get sleep paralysis which occurs every week and I believe is a milder form (still paralyzed but no levitation) but there's been no scientific correlation so I can only speak from experience.
You may want to do research on astral projection where they 'teach' you techniques...it's interesting

You want to induce an Order of the British Empire?

Tony Blair is no longer Prime Minister so you probably can't do that so easily anymore. Otherwise, a million quid would do it.
