How difficult is this discipline to learn? I'm a fit man of 25 and after hearing that Bourne uses this style in the Bourne films, I think I'd like to try and learn it, is it very intensive? Tell me what you know! If there are any people who actually do this technique I'd like to hear from you, and what you think on it.

matt damon was not using krav maga even though it looks similar he himself said he trained in escrima. plus most of the time movies do not show a particual art its more of a blend of things to look nice on film anyways even with the blend matt damon said the fighting was influenced by escrima

as for krav maga its no harder than any other art in my opinion. some even argue its easier because many of the techniques are based off how you would naturally reaction in a situation.

its fairly instence(at least were i went) they focused alot on cardio but i'll say my muay thai training was still more demanding of a workout. now if you are getting trained by the israeli military or the HQ of krav maga in cali then it'll probably be beyond belief intese....regular civilian training maybe not so much.

anyways check out the instructor with krav maga being commercialized now and everyone wants to do it...its a good way for a fraud to take your money(i've seen it personally). so make sure the teacher has a good background in martial arts and krav maga and everything checks out. if the instructor is good then krav maga is a good martial art to learn

I am currently a level 2 student of Krav Maga. It does depend on your instructor; you do want someone who is certified by Moni Aizik, the co-founder of CKM.
The techniques are no non-sense movements. You are not trying to become the next Bruce Lee. You are disengaging your enemy, reevaluating the situation and eliminating the enemy if necessary. I love learning this because of the usefulness of the education and training. We are pressure tested at the end of every class. Basically what you learned that day will be tested by having two to three people attacking you for a limited time. Believe me CKM is worth it.

What he uses may be based of Krav Maga, although I thought it was based off Kali, but it is only based loosely, it's a movie. What he uses is designed to look good on camera, not what you'd learn in a class.

Choosing a martial art based on someone using it in a movie is really not a good approach. Choose a class and a instructor that suits you and don't worry about style.

Watch the Krav Maga on youtube it will give you a better idea. In the films it was exaggerated.
