beliefs? I know you understandably fume over the fire and brimstone accusations as much as Christians are bothered by atheists thinking that they are a bunch of clueless flock following the herd.
But do ever find yourself just annoyed at a human being just for them having a belief in God without knowing anything else about them?

Magley- perhaps sardonic humor as you've exemplified is interpreted as anger most especially when the headers of questions from atheists are not known for their friendliness. There must be a reason for ALL THE TIMES you speak of. *batting eyelashes*

Little Madam - you say christians are rarely capable of not trying to convert and in all my 32 yrs the only ones I've know to do that are within the sect of Jehovahs Witnesses. It's also disgusting what's done in the name on 'non-religion' or as the atheist Mao once said "Religion is evil" and he murdered millions in the name of "no religion"

some atheists are offended human beings some are no longer. the only element that we truthfully proportion in undemanding is our disbelief in God(s). Anger is an irrational emotion that many have not found out the thank you to regulate. merely through fact somebody does not have faith in God(s) does not unavoidably recommend that individual is emotionally good. individually, i'm no longer offended at Christians or anybody of any faith. I’ve been there. I understand their physique of ideas. i individually lived a similar existence. thoughts are no longer what became me into an atheist. on the choice, it exchange into rational thought that did. i'm able to think of of many the rationalization why anybody, be they a believer or no longer, may well be offended at Christians. Christians do have a knack for elevating a individual’s ire, whether or no longer they are attentive to it or no longer. think of certainly approximately it. maximum vocal Christians that the international sees are bigots. The sort of Christians who talk up against such delinquent habit are few and lots in between. That leaves the rest those with a image that depicts Christians in fairly of a despicable easy. are you able to renowned that some Christians are despicable human beings?

I get angry with anyone I find to be acting in a wilfully ignorant way. If you were created by a God, he gave the ability to reason and question, and created the universe in a fashion that allowed the underlying principles of it to become apparent.
So when Christians start pushing for legislation that flies in the face of all the evidence of the world around them, to a degree where they're even trying to indoctrinate this irrationality into minds too young to make an informed decision, yes, I get angry.
I cope with this by using liberal amounts of irony and sarcasm, and flapping my jaw in the hope that someone, somewhere might just be a little more enlightened for it. It's a very constructive form of anger management, too.

"But do ever find yourself just annoyed at a human being just for them having a belief in God without knowing anything else about them?"
Why would one get angry with someone just for that?
====================
"Paul S - read some of the answers here from other atheists and you'll find your answer. =)"
I see atheists angry at Christians because the Christians here are so badly behaved, and because so many of them apparently come here only to lie about non-Christians. I also see atheists angry at Christians because Christians out in the real world are so poorly behaved and present such a threat to our freedoms.
If you're suggesting that you see atheists who are angry at Christians simply because Christians believe in god, you're simply ignoring the facts.
If you want to understand it better, look at how atheists treat pagans. We believe that pagans' beliefs are every bit as false as those of Christians. Do you see atheists angrily attacking pagans? Nope. Why not? Because pagans behave like adults, and don't make a practice of attacking us, and don't threaten the United States.
Understand now? =)

Not in the slightest. I'm always prepared to be on friendly terms with anyone who has, and demonstrates, sincere respect for me. Christians are so rarely capable of this. Generally because the desire to convert is always on their minds. When an individual attempts to convert me I am displeased. I also feel disgust when I learn what others descend to in the name of religion.
Update... Meh. Clearly you want to get all hot under the collar. Well, disinterested as I am in arguing with you (I can actually accept that you have different views to me. That's fine, good, democratic)
So would you be a friend to me... I'm pagan. Can you accept and respect that? Could you relate to me on equal terms?
Yes bad things are done in the absence of religion... just as are magnificent, wonderful, good things (indeed religion does not have a monopoly on those) ... but few things are done in the name of 'no religion'. Bit of a difference.

I could care less about your beliefs until you try to put them in laws that will affect me.
I want to get the idea out that we don't all believe that way. I don't tell everyone that I think religion is stupid. This morning I dropped my daughter of at daycare before school and the pastor that runs it asked how I was as he does every day. I told him he always seemed to be doing well, was that so, and he told me God was good to him. It makes him happy and it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg so I just smile.
People on here came to express their ideas and I should tell them how I feel too. Many are politically motivated. People do not have to be here either.

Even here in the UK there are still a few people who believe in a God. I only get angry when it becomes patently obvious that some of them have done no research whatsoever and have simply believed what they have been told since children.
It's not that I expect them to immerse themselves in evolutionary biology or cosmolgy, but most of them don't even have a clue about their own book, the Bible.
'Closed-minded' are the words that come to mind.

Nobody is mad at Christians for their beliefs (well, okay, other believers are!). We are angry when believers attempt to foist their beliefs into secular law -- like opposing gay marriage, abortion, birth control, sex education, prostitution, etc.
(Seems like a lot of "sex" stuff in there. But what do you expect from the religion that brought us immaculate conception and virgin birth?)

Like others, I'm just angry when they shove it down my throat or try to abolish one of the main things the constitution stands for and the reason why this country was founded... Separation of church and state and the freedom to believe or not believe in whatever you want without anyone harassing you about it.

I only get annoyed/angry when Christians (or anyone else) try to legislate their beliefs into law or otherwise try to convert me, force me to live by their beliefs, etc.
Live and let live...just don't make me live by your beliefs.
