Three months before she accepted her Nobel Peace Priz, she wrote to a spiritual confidant: "Jesus has a very special love for you ... [but] as for me, the silence and the emptiness is so great, that I look and do not see, — Listen and do not hear — the tongue moves [in prayer] but does not speak ... I want you to pray for me — that I let Him have [a] free hand."

Only God knows for sure,sister...If she knew Jesus as her savior, but her works were,"dead",then she would suffer loss of reward proclaimed at the "Judgement Seat of Christ"...her Soul would be saved,however...As you of course already know,we are saved by Grace, not works.
My hope, is that she knew and was known by God and is enjoying being in his presense.

Nobody knows except the Lord. That is why He said that He would separate the wheat from the tares. Maybe she was doubting her religion, and worked out her salvation by coming to the realization that all of her works were not what saves, but rather a saving knowledge of Christ. If she did come to know Him, she sure has some crowns to throw at the feet of our Lord. We don't go by feelings, but rather walk by faith that God is who He proclaims to be, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

This is too sad to dwell on for long. We both know that apart from salvation through Jesus Christ alone.....we are lost. Good works apart from that are as filthy rags. It is possible that she didn't receive eternal life with God. Of course, I would have no way of knowing....only God knows. But one thing I do know......God loved that woman more than we can imagine (as He does each of us), and He gave her many opportunities to receive Christ as her Saviour. This is a perfect example of what the Bible teaches about us having no righteousness apart from Christ--no matter how good a life we think we live, no matter how many "good works" we have done, it is only by the saving power of Jesus Christ that we can be reconciled to God. If people could truly grasp what sin is, and what redemption is.....and that the free gift of salvation is amazing and unmatched .........well, this world would be turned on it's head. I hope with all my heart that this precious lady did not live her life in vain, and that she is indeed in heaven.

Mother Theresa was more close to God than the mainstream of us shall ever reach. She lived the live as her bleief it was Gods call for her she lived the bible principles of doing for Jesus, when we help the least among us, tho' she felt, as our Lord felt on the cross crying out Lord, why have you abandoned me, Mother Theresa lived her faith in the dark night of the soul and union with God that infants cannot understand. Once again, her "feelings" did not let her stop her works of charity and love for her neighbors, feelings are not FAITH, and so I'd proclaim to you all that mother theresa was saved by faith working thru love, just as the bible tells us we must do to obtain eternal life. Pray for us Mother Theresa

She is burning in hell right now. It is very sad, but God knows her wicked heart. Her writings do not in any way express the Joy that Jesus Christ gives.
You will see her condemned to the Lake of Fire on Judgment Day. It will be a shocker.
Those father back in line will say, "Well if Mother Teresa did not make it, then what chance does any of us have?"
The answer is still the same. People have not chance of Heaven. There is no path that man can travel, no deed that can be accomplished. There is absolutely nothing that a person can do to escape the Wrath of God.
Ms. Theresa knew this ultimately, but she never submitted to the Will of Christ and found Joy in the Salvation that He offered her freely.
Her story is one of the saddest stories and testimonies for the entire planet today. How empty and vain the religion of man is.

I don't think her works were dead. They were still charitable. I think that she explified faith -- in spite of not feeling the presence of God -- she continued in her work without stint for the sake of her belief in God.
Not everyone who is religious and devout is privileged to have a religious experience. She was just honest about not having that experience and having doubt. She hewed to the spirit of Christ's teachings devoutly, so I reckon Heaven welcomed her and her sainthood may be all the more justified for it.

There isn't a person alive today that doesn't perform "dead works" to one extent or another. Or, at one time or another...so, what one does with their "faith" or because of their faith, even if it puts to shame others who do nothing with or because of theirs, shouldn't be the issue here...it's what are you doing "today" (the living should not be crude in matters such as this..) Well, if she said what you said she did on your other question, that you don't need Jesus to go to heaven, then the answer is yes. She preformed dead works.
