It's not the immigrants people have a problem with, it's the ILLEGALS. They are over here working illegally and cant even speak our language. Personally, I have nothing against anyone who is of non American descent. I feel that anyone who wants to should be allowed in the counrty. As long as they take the proper path and become legal just like you and I. We pay taxes and so should they. What I always say is, would you pick up one day and move to, not just visit, but move to Japan, not knowing anything about the language, culture, and live there hoping you dont get caught? No, you wouldnt. You would take the necessary steps and do what it took to learn the language of the country your going to live in and become a citizen. LEGAL citizen. I dont think that the American people are asking to much from that.

No, your higher tax costs to pay for the social 'safety nets' that allow unethical employers to under-pay illegals are mittigated somewhat by the fact that your wages are depressed due to illegal participation in the labor market. That is, you'd be making more money, and thus, paying more taxes were it not for illegals. Of course, depressed wages do reduce inflationary pressures, so things also cost you slightly less than they would otherwise.

But, ironically, inflationary preasures from wage growth have not had as strong an impact on price levels as they used to. This is because of the increaingly global market, particularly in manufactures. Because we keep importing cheap chinese crap at extremely low (and stable) prices, prices in the US do not rise as dramatically as they might otherwise.

So, really, it's not illegals that our keeping prices down, it's Chinese slaves. Illegals are keeping /wages/ down, here in America.

Nope.
Economists agree that even if all illegal farm laborers left, the price on produce would go up about 7-9%. That's about 8 or 9 cents on a head of lettuce.

I think we can afford that much more readily than the billions spent on illegal alien entitlements as well as the degradation of our society.

Yes I do think that prices have gone up because of our "benefits" given to illegals, granted they are not the only reason but they sure put a big crimp in the economy.
Put a wall up and see what happens....oh by the way send their flags, press 2 for Spanish garbage back with them.

Add up all the taxes we are paying for illegal immigration! Then subract what we are saving at the grocery store (if ANYTHING). Subract the amount we are saving on construction. Add in how many AMERICAN construction workers have lost their jobs due to cheap labor. Add in how many schools we are having to build. Add in all the roads we are having to widen due to the population increase. Add in all the road signs that are having to be redone in Spanish....(even though there are SOOO many more expenses for these people, we'll stop there)

Now what does it all equal?
Economical Destruction!!!

Not a chance and a cheap PlayStation will never make up for my children's failing education in overcrowded, year round schools taught by teachers on emergency credentials, where the accelerated programs, language and culture classes have been slashed to pay for ESL and intervention for those illegally here and their children.

When our children graduate middle school in Los Angeles, instead of the choice of languages middle school students used to have, now our children are the only ones in their graduating class NOT bilingual. WHO is discriminated against, here?

We pay for the schools and built them. They are failing our children, so how will our children be able to compete as adults?
