The c. means "circa" means "about" or around. It is used when the dates are approximately known.

So c.2500B.C.

Means approx 2500 years before Christ.

Hope This Helped ;)

I can not remember what it means. But it is latin. and the translated latin term does mean "Before Christ". But the only problem is that Jesus Christ of Nazareth may not have been born on 000 AD.

It means circa or around. They do that because they don't know the exact year.

circa which means "roughly"

it's used when the precise date isn't known.

the "c" in "b.c.", of course, means "Christ"
