The Wii is the worst out of the three new systems because really it's a Gamecube with a tacked on motion sensor instead of a regular controller. Also, the graphics are way below the level of the PS3 and 360. The Wii shouldn't even be compared to them in my opinion. The Wii gets boring after a few times playing it.

Even though I am a Playstation gamer only, I will admit that all of the systems are great and offer something different for different gamers.
In my opinion the worst system is the Xbox 360. Yes the 360 has great online play and has plenty of games to choose from, but the Xbox 360 is a flawed game console that has too many hardware problems. Microsoft still hasn't fixed the problem 100%, they have only fixed the problem a little bit by putting in different hardware that will reduce the chances of Red Ring of Death.
The console with the most to offer is the PS3 without a doubt. The PS3 has a good exclusive game selection now and in the future as well. There's good exclusive games for the PS3 that are for every age group such as Rachet and Clank, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Resistance Fall of Man, and Motorstorm. The PS3 is a console for casual gamers and hardcore gamers because of the diversity in exclusive games.
Most of the Xbox 360's good exclusive games are rated "M" like Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Gears of War. I think that the Xbox 360 is a system for mostly hardcore gamers and online games.
The Wii is a good system for everyone from young to old people and to experienced game players. But the majority of the Wii's games are for casual gamers and the Wii doesn't really have that many block buster game titles such as Grand Theft Auto 4.
In my opinion, determining which system is the best or worse should not be based upon console sales, but what console has the most to offer, and the PS3 has the most to offer.

all 3 are good in their own ways. the wii needs better games. i just got mario galaxy and its amazing. the thing is, once i beat that game, who knows when a new game of that magnitude will come out. i did own the 360 when it first came out but was not crazy about it. maybe because it broke twice on me. although some games look sweet for the 360 now, i am still unsure of the systems reliability. dont let 360 fanboys fool you, microsoft never really fixed the red ring problem. they arent sure what causes it. the ps3 is my favorite of the consoles. i like the games the best (dont listen to people say the ps3 has no games, that might have been true a few months ago, but now things are changing), plus i like the controller and the blu ray player. so i guess my rank would go
1ps3
2wii
3 360

I think the wii, not that I haven't played it, it's just to kiddy a and repetitive for me, no good games really, graphics are sub par compared to pc, ps3 or xbox 360, heck even some last gen games like god of war 2 look better than current wii games.
It's nice that its getting more non gamers to consider gaming but like the person above stated they are holding the industry back, if this continues and game developers try to do the same they might forget about us hardcore gamers.
They need to continue trying to push games in a new direction rather than targeting those who aren't really gamers.
The xbox 360 and ps3 have the most to offer, with full hd, movie play back, the 360 has the video market place, you can download games, movies tv shows, cartoons and soon full version xbox games, the wii doesn't even have a hard drive no hd and sadly its game library is bismal.
I say if you're a true gamer go, pc, xbox 360 or ps3, as for the wii, I'll get it for my little sister and my nephew this Christmas.

I think it all depends on what you are looking for in a system. They are all really good for different reasons. The X-box 360 has been out the longest out of all of them and has the biggest catalog of games right now. The Wii is a really great console I have one myself I didn't think I would like the controller but it's really easy and fun to use. The downside though is that it doesn't have a lot of great games yet the best one so far is Zelda. The PS3 has a lot to offer and since they have been cutting the price on them they are alot more affordable than the 600 dollars they were charging in the first place so it all depends on what you are looking for.

They all have good qualities and you're unlikely to get an unbiased opinion here but I think the Wii is the worst purely because it seems to be aimed at non-gamers more than gamers. It's lacking really good single player games and I know Zelda, Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 received a lot of praise but they just appear to be exceptions to the rule.
As often as Nintendo is praised for it's innovation and how it is moving gaming forward I can't help but feel it's holding it back. If you look at Final fantasy XII, a current-gen game and the amount of audio dialogue in it is amazing but compare that to Twilight Princess, which is meant to be a next-gen game and had no dialogue at all just text. It just doesn't make sense.
Moving gaming forward should be getting non-gamers to play more sophisticated games not another mini-game collection.

I would say go for the PS3. It will inevitably have the largest catalogue of games and also has the best processing and graphical power of any of the systems. You get what you pay for, but at least it aint $600 dollars no more!

Wii is the weakest (it's CPU is below 1 Ghz), 360 has a biggest return rate due to RROD and disc scratching.

I'd have to say the PS3.
It's the most expensive console on the market with no games or graphics to justify the price. It has the weakest library of all 3 consoles - with most of its titles available on the 360. It has yet to release a single "must have" or "killer app" type game. The 360 has Halo3 and Wii has Mario but the PS3 has..."Coming Soon"?
Arguably the PS3 is also incomplete. Its true controller - the dual-shock 3 - won't be available in the US until April 2008. Likewise its real online system, HOME, won't be available until April 2008. Many of the PS3's biggest titles aren't expected until...2008.
Sony also lobotomized the PS3 in my opinion by releasing the 40GB model that no longer plays ANY PS2 games.
