I sometimes believe in it because there's cool evidence, but you can never trust all the evidence you see. I was just saying why do so many of all the different religions disagree with it? I saw a girl ask a question about it and everyone was saying it was stupid. So why do you all not accept?

Common_sense I don't know the name of the documentaries I saw but I know my mom is real into it and stuff and so I see a lot of the them and in many of them the children talking about stuff they couldn't know is pretty convincing. I kind of don't believe it though because you can't trust what you see on T.V. but whatever.

well for atheists theres simply no reason to belive in it.
but actually the interesting part is that many religions DO recognize it, or at least allow for it.
for example, while reincarnation is not actually a teaching of Judaism, it is something that judaism allows for, and some jewish people belive in.
it is NOT contrary to a monotheistic God or God at all, for there to be reincarnation. in fact once you get to a certain point of spiriutal understanding its rather self evident, or even obvious.
personally I am boggled by how people can NOT see it sometimes. for me the only way a just God could establish things is with Reincarnation involved. otherwise its just impossible for it to be just.

The way I see it...
If I lived many lives with many bodies, personalities, etc. would I still be "me"? No, I just don't think that is true. I believe in the christian idea that each person is a single "self" and will always be a unique person with one body. I reconginze my "self" as one unchanging thing (consciousness) not many.
There are other reasons as well, but that is one initial reason I personally do not believe in reincarnation.

Christianity up and denies the existence of reincarnation. That's why I am not convinced. I believe what the Bible says, and their just isn't any reincarnation.
Here is the text:
Hebrews 9
27 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
And the theme is carried throughout the Bible.

Excellent question, considering that Jesus SAID, "IF YOU CAN ACCEPT IT, John the Baptist was Elijah." [Matt 11:14] If that's not an endorsement of reincarnation, I don't know what is. Besides, it answers so MANY questions Christians can't answer, like what happens to people who die without a chance to hear the Gospel, and what happens to babies when they die without being baptized?

Saw a discovery channel documentry about it once. Some South Indian and Sri lankan pyschologists actually take it seriously. But I have no way of knowing.

why DO you accept it is the real question. the bible never speaks of this. the bible says that when you are dead you are conscience of nothing.
not...
your soul floats around and goes into someone elses body when your dead. that doesn't make sense.
Psalm 146:4;
4 His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground;
In that day his thoughts do perish.
Ecclesiastes 9:5
5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

Jesus stated that He is the only way to the Father. Why would we want to believe in anything else if He told us not to?
Hope that helps.

"there's cool evidence"? Um, like what precisely? And, please, provide citation(s).
It's "unaccepted" because there's no biblical basis for it and the concept itself is contrary to pretty much everything in the Bible.
"why do you all not accept"? Absolutely no reason TO accept it.
