That statement itself faith and knowledge go hand and hand is not a fact but an opinion my friend.
I know many a wise and intelligent people from Eastern Europe and have NO idea the concept of Religion or Faith having grown up in a former communist area of Germany.
These are good people many wise and smart yet have no faith so to me you can be anywhere you want to be just as much as you can with faith as without it.
Now to say that age and knowledge go hand in hand I think would be a more accurate assumption but still not a clear fact only a strongly supported opinion.
I hope that this makes sense to you what I mean. I have been lucky enough to meet many eastern Europeans who grew up during DDR (GDR) Times and what life was like and they still many of them have no faith or belief. I just discuss it with them and do not argue for they are friends and Im not there to change their minds, but I am interested in what they think and why they think it from another's perspective than my own.
So to answer your question simply you can be or do just as much as you would if you did not have it, for we all have free will and it is our choices in our life's that shape us.
This is just my opinion though..=] Interesting question.

Faith is unseen and disproven, thus defining itself. Faith is hope. Faith can also be described as being assured of salvation with the knowledge of Christ. Many will criticize and say the two have nothing in common but they are wrong...and right.
Knowledge, in the non-believing sense, is proven, factual facts, obviously not faith.
But Christians see TRUE knowledge being that of knowing Christ Jesus as their Savior. Everything else falls into the background.

You are lost. Knowledge is great, and it leads to salvation. But faith is what saves you. Without faith you are not saved, even if you have all the knowledge in the world.

Faith is the living out of your knowledge/experience. Everybody has some kind of faith, such as my faith that the chair I am sitting on right now will support me (otherwise I would not have sit upon it!) and the faith you have right now that the computer you are using to view this is rendering the characters in this message properly.

I have studied many many theologies over the years but, since I believe that interpreting the divine is beyond the grasp of human comprehension, and communicating it even further from it, I have a fair amount of knowledge but no specific faith, without a personal revelation I likely never will...

You're getting somewhere, but where is that? Will it make a difference at Armageddon?
Faith and works, knowledge do go hand in hand, so if you have knowledge but do not apply it, that one is a foolish one on a path to destruction.

However it seems that faith and reason are almost mutually exclusive.
If your knowledge is without reason all you have left is faith.

It is impossible to have the knowledge, and not the faith. Because when one comes to the knowledge, they realize their fate.

"Faith is believing in something you know ain't true."
In my experience faith is that which fills the space made available by the absence of knowledge.
