Well it depends how you define narrowminded I suppose. But it is most definitely wrong to live a double standard life. Narrowminded is different... and really Christians shouldn't be compromising with non-Christians in terms of their beliefs. No one would ever be able to sell me on the idea that Christianity is a just a made up false religion. I know for a 100% fact, I'd stake my very life/soul that God is real and Christianity is not a bunch of hokey pokey. That can be considered narrow minded, because I'm not willing to accept various "facts" that point otherwise. Thing is though, there are some things we know for complete certainty - and this is one of those things. How many followers of other religions or beliefs can truly claim they'd be willing to die for it?
lol sorry I thought about my message after I had posted it and I think I realized that I have completely misunderstood your question... oh well

Have you ever heard of the First Law in the Transformation of Energy. It states that there will never be a 100% cconversion because something is lost in transference. Understand when you are saved, you are replaced by a new body and mind. But the soul is your responsibility to transform with his help. Since so few of us ever come to God wholly accepting him or his precepts, we are prone to our little sins. That is why he said that he takes the sinners, and makes them his chief cornerstones. After some time in this world, they understand that this old life is futile; and when God comes, we need to answer the bell. Because their fear of him supersedes all understanding of this world.
Salvation is a continuous striving, we must be diligent in serving him. That is why the word speaks of apprenticeships under his soldiers. (Flesh wars against spirit) Just do not hold it against anyone, lest you get tempted by the devil.

That sometimes happens when people feel threatened. They might feel that something or somebody is trying to get them to admit that their belief system is less than perfect and that is a scary thought to them.
The problem is that analyzing and questioning one's belief system is vital to any Christian's life. Without constant checking and analyzing and adapting to new revelations, a Christian becomes stagnant in his faith and begins worshiping his small idea of God instead of the Living God of the universe.

because they are only human like everyone else and tend to slip into the grips of sin like any other person. yes, it's unbecoming and gives others a bad name, but what people need to realize is that christians don't claim to be perfect and that they make mistakes and act in sinful manners just like everyone else. they are forgiven, but not incapable of sin.
