I was watching I Love New York 2 Reality TV Show the other day . The men were asked to make a plate of food and the best cook would get a date with her that night. Well as I was watching it she was eating from each plate and one dish was handed to her and it was a hot dog.When she and her mother saw the hot dog one of them yelled out THIS IS SO WHITE TRASH. Now I feel as if that was a racist remarks. White trash is a derogatory term with a classist component targeted at white people with low social status, poor prospects, or low levels of education. To call someone white trash is to accuse a white person of being economically, educationally and culturally bankrupt. .Now I have to ask how is this any diffrent from what the Dog had to say..I am stressed over the matter .I was called white trash from a african american ..Now remind you if a white person said this it would be no big deal as it is no big deal for a black man tto call another black man the N word.

It is a double-standard and unfortunately that is how our society has been for a long time. Truthfully, I think there will always be racial tensions...especially amongst blacks and whites. It's also a sensitivity issue--you don't really see white people who are thrown racist remarks get mad every time do you?
Personally, I'm tired of hearing people constantly cry racist every time a comment is uttered. It's okay for black people to call whites "crackers," but it's a completel travesty when the "N" word is used.
I think our society has not really progressed in this matter and has only really gotten worse because of our litigous nature.

Ohhh, get over it. Did you know there is a "white trash cookbook"? Volumes 1 and 2? It is not racist; it is just a funny term. I call myself white trash when I do something tacky. If we can't kid or have a sense of humor, what are we? No fun?

Although hot dogs are not very nutritious, they have a celebrated history from Vienna, Austria and Frankfurt, Germany and are enjoyed by people everywhere.
