I'm trying to be a proficient gambler ( or as much as you can be with gambling ) I love to play poker and bet on football. But is there any websites that I can go to to teach you how to make smart bets and not make a bone head move of betting too much of your gambling nest egg that you've built up. So the money will last longer and you'll have less of a chance of losing it on one big-bad bet. I appreciate your input.

Money management is much easier than people make it out to be. As long as you're only betting a small percentage of your bankroll and are good at picking winners, you will not bust out. Forget 20% of your bankroll, that's ridiculous. I would bet no more than 5% on a single game, and ideally, 1% is even better.

They key to winning is and always will be making good picks (sportsbetting) or playing well (poker). The only way a player who consistently pick winners will lose is if they are betting too much of their stake at any given time, so the less you bet in relation to your bankroll, the better.

Good luck.

If your betting always go for the small win. ie $10 on a sure fire football team. Don't bother with the multiple bets, theres always one that lets you down. Thats how the bookies make the majority of their money.

Don't. It's a losing proposition. Odds are ALWAYS with the house!
