Things like IDK, OMG, WTF. Does anyone else feel you loose something when you don't use real words? Words are so poetic it would be ashame to loose them. What are your thoughts on this?

The only purpose of writing something is for it to be read. Whenever you limit the ability of others to read what you write, you are defeating yourself.

What I find odd is that people who use unorthodox forms of spelling somehow tend to think this makes them smarter, when the opposite is probably closer to the truth.

Take time to write proper English, or whatever language you happen to be using. All languages are beautiful and a heritage of mankind. Take time to re-read what you write from the potential readers perspective. This in my view is simply being courteous to your reader.

i did not unavoidably look for particular characteristics...that makes it look like searching, and a courting could develop certainly between 2 people. i began out courting my husband by using fact i thought he looked warm in his uniform, by using fact he had a desirable smile, and because he became quite well mannered. those are not the failings you base a marriage upon. yet there became a think approximately time that i found out that he became the guy i became going to marry, and it became by using fact he encompassed each and every thing i necessary and needed in a guy: honor, integrity, intelligence, and a large humorousness. something went fairly incorrect at some point and that i found out that the only individual i needed at that 2nd became him, that he became the only individual who fulfilled me and can desire to comofort me. I married him by using fact he's the only guy i will lay in mattress with and consult with till 4 interior the morning, by using fact he's the only guy that has made me snort so annoying that I almost moist my pants. I married him by using fact i needed him to be the father of my toddlers, by using fact I knew he could make a large husband and an astounding dad. And, merely as important as that, I fulfill something in him. Marriage is unquestionably a 2-way highway. Date the guy / woman you have an interest in...marry the only which you would be unable to stay devoid of.

I agree. I never type using abeviations. I find that I can type a few more keys in just the same time. Schools do not allow abrevations, so as for loosing the language....no. It does make the language harder though.

I know. Words and be very expressive and convey deep emotion. We are going to turn into that movie where macho camacho is president and no one knows how to grow food. Anyone with any intellect is considered gay. Its already happening!

"Loose"? "Ashame"? Based on the way you've written the question, I'd have to say that yes, we are losing our skills and it's a shame.

this is only online. people in real life dont just say " O.M.G" or "I.D.K". i dont know what kids you hang out with, but im sure the rest of the world who speak english use actual words.
Its only online as its faster and easier to type and mostly the teenagers would use those phrases, as they are lazy typers.

There really isnt a big deal.
