I love the fact that everyone tells brides to be happy with what they get and to be grateful they received something at all!!! Now everyone is telling you to let him pick his out, and generally being nice about the fact he didn't like the custom ring you had made just for him!!!! Please! Talk about sexist!
Tell him this ring came from your heart, and your hurt that he doesn't like it! He should be grateful that you are trying to be so accommodating!

What a sooky la la.
Make him pick his own ring and
he can pay for it too, you have already
wasted enough time and effort and money
on it. Doesnt he appreciate anything? I would
be taking a serious look at the relationship.
A demanding and sooky man is ok before you
have kids, but very trying if you are planning a family.
It is like having another demanding child. Get rid of
him and find a real man.

Getting a wedding band for your husband is not exactly like him picking the engagement ring out for you. Both of you should go together to pick out both of your wedding bands. So your two styles can come up with two wedding bands that match the new mix of your two personalities as one family.
A wedding band for you should go well with your engagement ring.
Though his wedding band does not need to compliment your ring, it always looks good.

I would take this as a bad omen of things to come.
He is impossible to please (I'm sure this isn't the first time that thought has crossed your mind), he is ungrateful and nitpicky.
You are going to end up in a miserable marriage if you pursue this, mark my words. I know you won't, because you "love him" but I hope you remember the warning for the next one.
Personality flaws like this only get worse after you say I do.
How much fun you will have working all day then coming home to rescrub the toilet because you, "didn't do it right".
Fun, fun.

Man sounds like a jerk! How would he feel if you told him you didn't like your ring!? Anyways I knew my husband was going to be picky and I'm the kind of person who has to see it to buy it so I drug him along to all the places I wanted to check out to pick out his ring, found out what he liked and his size. I ended up finding his ring when he wasn't with me one of the times, it ended up being one that he loved better than any he had tried on.

Most of the time wedding bands aren't surprises like engagement rings often are. Just let him pick one out himself.

I think I would be more worried about larger issues that might come up in the marriage...if he's already so worked up about the ring...shouldn't that be a sign that perhaps he's having other issues that need to be talked about and discussed before the big day.

First of all, any ring should be good enough for him, because it's your WEDDING, he should stop being a jerk, isn't he happy that he could spend the rest of his life with you? isn't that enough for him?
It seems to me like he is a little immature. If he really loved you, he would be happy with ANY ring you got him

Maybe you all should go shopping for a ring together. Many couples do, however, I hope this is not indicative of how your marriage will go, after all, it's not about the ring.

Sounds like he need to pick out his own ring. Nothing wrong with that -- he has to live with it!
And who says you have to pay for it? It should come out of the funds that you, your fiance, and your family (if they are contributing) come up with for the wedding expenses.
