Last year around Christmas time me and my husband were able to get a holiday loan with Jackson Hewitt. Jackson Hewitt is not doing them this year. Does anyone know if H&R Block is?

From what I've been hearing h&r might be doing someting in december. you have to have done your taxes with then last year tho. this is unconfirmed info, but when i did call the h&r office near me, the lady told me to call after thanksgiving because they are supposed to be doing something but she didnt have any information to give me. this was about a week ago when i placed that call.

The interest rate was a flat 36% (or 6% for two months), so of course it was attractive to a lot of folks.

No announcement has been made as to what preseason promotion may be offered, but these loans as offered last year have been discontinued.

Nobody is at present. The bank that offered the loans has pulled out due to massive fraud. Given the interest rates they charge -- more than some loan sharks -- the fraud must have been staggering for them to lose money on it.
