She meant that while your question was funny, it was pretty dumb and the joke is over used. Be whatever you want to be, at least she thought it was funny.

This is a compliment :) It is very positive. It means that you have deep thoughts and that you are wise. It means that you think the subject through beyond what is obvious. A complex thinker will generally achieve more academically than average. A complex thinker's thoughts are also seen as more interesting than most.

I believe she means that you (lame) that what you are saying lacks substance and not sound, and that you lack depth. But, in regards to clever, she recognizes that you are witty, and that inspite of the fact that you didn't answer correctly, you smartly faked it. Yes, I would rather be clever than lame. Worse yet, would be lame brained.

She obviously meant you were clever to be able to come up with such a play on words, but the play itself was lame.

And I agree.

She means that you're such an adorable, clever and witty person as we have all known...Cause you're Stooge. Cause you're you. You and your idiosyncrasies are of a rare kind. But she also thinks that as much as you are an interesting person, that particular question of yours is kinda lame. That's how i take it. Nah...no worries! It's just a question...You're still great anyways... ;-)

Lame means it wasn't cool, but clever means it contains a level of wit.
I'd take it as a sarcastic compliment.

It means it isn't funny. But it was intelligently thought out. It means that you used a complicated process but did not get the result you were working towards
