I recently had this incredibly painful condition. I was given a shot of Toradol, in the doctors office and then sent to Physical Therapy for a few months. The heating pad helped me alot, along with hot showers. Please see a doctor and go for some Physical Therapy. It worked wonders.

Not much of anything, unfortunately - that's one of the worst pains!! I had it once when I sat on a friend's waaaay too soft couch for too long & it pinched that nerve somehow - it hurt for DAYS!!! No pain reliever I tried helped, but I do remember a heating pad offering a little relief although not much. Ugh.

Now I do not know if this will work, but I read it during the week. Get a large potato place it in the small of your back, back up against the wall and roll slightly up and down?
If it works let me know!
