fine for hungry people who worship him to starve to death, is there really any use in praying at all? From the sounds of things (and your answers to the previous two questions) God has already made up his mind about how things are going to go. Amputees should just accept that God said they're fine without their limbs. They can pray all they want but God has already made up his mind about the situation. So I ask you, what is the point in praying?

Here are the first two questions, in case you missed them:

Yes, these questions have been asked before, this is more about following thoughts to the conclusions you hold. After reading the first two questions, can you understand why some people think prayer will not get you results, despite claims to the contrary?

God only answers prayers when the subject is going to happen anyway apparently.

You can find out more about natural hemorrhoids cure here http://curehemorrhoid.info
Diarrhea can contribute to hemorrhoid formation because the bowel undergoes pressure strains due to the condition. Undue pressure on the veins that make up internal hemorrhoidal structures can worsen existing damage. Internal hemorrhoids are not visible, unless they proplapse (protrude) from the anus, either constantly or during a bowel movement. If this is the case, then you have a grade III or IV internal hemorrhoid. If the protrusion is on the anal verge or the area surrounding the anus, then its likely an external hemorrhoid. Reducing pressure from issues of diarrhea and constipation will help. Not straining during a bowel movement, not lifting heavy objects, not sitting for extended periods, all will help.

An external hemorrhoid is simply a vein located at the anal verge, the wall of which as weakened and protruded. Don't push on it, this will only increase pressure and worsen it. The body has to repair the vein wall and rebuild the integrity. This takes time, perhaps weeks, if all goes well. Use sitz baths and over-the-counter medications such as pads or creams to provide symptom relief in the interim. These won't solve the issue long term, but will give the tissue a better chance at self-healing.

Internal hemorrhoids are a different matter and require more intervention. Your best bet is to educate yourself about the condition, its causes and what options there are to treat it both short and long term. Don't ignore it though, hemorrhoids tend to become chronic in nature, lasting years or decades in some cases.

What would make you think that God takes delight in human suffering?
The things that you see around us in the world have been brought about by mankinds uncontrollable greed......I don't know if you read the Bible or not, but there is a scripture at Ecclesiastes 8:9 which talks about how man has dominated mankind to his own injury.
This is nothing new, it's been going on for centuries...we have to learn to treat each other equally. We have the power of free will....God permits mankind to run with the reins, hoping he will see his error and turn around

In Psalms 37:25....we read that the "righteous" are never left entirely with their needs. Also, God hears the prayers of the righteous ones.

Jeremiah 10:23 is also a good scripture to meditate on.

God promised us 120 years of abundant life. He specifically instructed us how to eat and take care of the temple. He stressed the right foods and hygiene. The diseases we are getting which causes loss of limbs is because of ignorance of the Word, Satan's gripe on our hearts and minds or simple disobedience. If we chose a different path than God has chosen for us, then we are to blame--not God. This is man's doing.

Understand, all things are possible through Christ. However, once something has happened we cannot humanly change, then, we must pray for Devinne intervention; if He allowed it, we pray for acceptance. Even through bad times and good times, we offer praise not for the situation, but for the victory as we press forward and prayer to help us through it. Understand, we live through God's will--not our own. He paid a price for us-we are His. If we want things to be well with us; then, we pray.

Saw a T-shirt for sale that said "I give little children terrible diseases every day. What makes you think I'll answer your prayers?"

I do believe in a God, but I tend to think that praying for things is rather futile. If there is a big divine plan, why would God mess with it so one kid can get better or so my friend won't be mad at me anymore or so Yahoo stock would go up or whatever? Answer: he wouldn't. I pray to figure stuff out. Whether there is a divine influence or not is inconsequential: it's like sole practicioner psychotherapy without the $150/hr bill.

Edit: I looked up this Smith Wigglesworth character just because he sounded so much like a Dickensian joke, and this is what I got:

Wigglesworth believed that God had cured him of hemorrhoids, and much of his ministry was focused on faith healing.

Okay, it came from Wiki, but it was too funny not to share!

Most Christians are concerned with the after-life so they would say something like the more you suffer, the better your afterlife which is something stupid. Don't forget that ancient theologians belived that the most blessed people are retarded. But I belive that the reason why people pray is to repent for them being born sinners. Amputees should accept their condition but pray to god to show their faith rather than reject it. Your outside body does not matter, it is more about your internal condition. If my answer sounds stupid it's because religion is stupid.

there is no pre-ordained plan. Some one yelling 'it's a miracle, god has healed me!' is very inconsiderate. Why did god heal you, and not me? 'er, the lord works in mysterious ways.' I believe that if there is in fact a god, that he(or she) works through doctors, and nurses, and people who run soup kitchens etc. Giving US the power to heal and feed.

Prayer to me is more of a comfort...a way to talk to someone else even when you are really alone.

To force or allow anyone or anything to suffer is exactly why I'm an atheist. I have to ask, "If god is all mighty and all powerful, then why does the devil exist, why WOULD a god allow these things to happen to his 'creations'."

you raise very valid points, and i doubt you'll get answer real answers

i must admit, being a witch who does spellwork on occasion, i question the point of doing it sometimes because of that very logic. for me i suppose it's a "just in case" type of thing. i might as well try it just in case it can help

i believe everything happens for a reason. i also believe that we walk a pre determined path for the most part. i contradict myself by doing spell work to change what i believe. but then again, maybe part of that predetermined path is me doing spell work to try and change it.

the long and the short of it is i am honest enough to admit that just because i am strong in my beliefs, doesn't mean that they're right. beliefs are only beliefs, not facts.
